Saheli – Privacy & Terms

In an emergency call 112 (police), 181 (women helpline) or 1091 immediately. Saheli is an information tool, not an emergency service.

What we collect

Your location is used only in your browser to show nearby help. It is not sent to us unless you submit a report.
Reports you submit share: category, time, approximate location (rounded to ~100 m) and your note. These appear publicly on the map. Do not include names, phone numbers or other identifying details.
Photos and voice recordings stay on your own device and are not uploaded.
Searches and map tiles are handled by third parties (OpenStreetMap / Nominatim / Overpass, and optionally MapTiler), which see your IP address and requests.

Reports are submitted by the public and are not verified. District crime figures come from 2024 data supplied to this project.
Police and helpline details may be out of date. Always confirm by calling.
We may hide reports that are abusive, false or identify individuals.
